Tuition for Mainstream Students (Ages 7–18)
Our tuition provision is designed to support students currently attending mainstream school who would benefit from additional academic guidance, confidence building and structured reinforcement in core subjects.
We work with students aged 7 to 18, helping them strengthen understanding, improve performance and approach their studies with greater clarity and self-belief.
Subjects We Support
We offer focused support in the three core subject areas:
- English
- Mathematics
- Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
Support is tailored to the specific curriculum your child is following, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and other recognised exam boards.
Exam Preparation
Our tuition programme can support students preparing for:
- SATs
- 11+ entrance exams
- GCSE examinations
- A Level examinations
Sessions focus not only on subject knowledge, but also exam technique, structured revision strategies and building confidence under pressure.
Session Times
- Monday to Friday: 3pm – 7pm
- Weekends: 10am – 2pm
Small group sizes allow for personalised attention while maintaining a calm, focused learning environment.
Our Approach
At Qalm Academy, we believe that academic success is strengthened when students feel safe, relaxed and supported. Our tuition sessions are delivered in a nurturing, faith-led environment where students are encouraged to develop strong character alongside academic ability. Progress is regularly communicated with parents to support student attainment and foster a strong partnership between home and the Academy.
We take a holistic approach to learning, recognising that children develop at different stages and may require different teaching strategies depending on age and maturity. Our screen-free learning model reduces digital distractions and promotes deeper concentration, reflection and meaningful engagement with subject material.
Students also have access to our dedicated ablution and prayer facilities, supporting them in remaining God-conscious while in our care.
Safeguarding, Policies and Peace of Mind
Children’s safety and wellbeing come first. We follow clear safeguarding procedures and maintain the relevant policies so families can feel confident in the care we provide. If you’d like copies of our safeguarding or complaints policies, please request them and we’ll share them with you. These can be found at the bottom of our page.
Funding & Support
Where eligible, our tuition services can be accessed using approved childcare funding routes, including Universal Credit childcare support and other recognised funding schemes. Please visit our funding pages for further details or contact us directly to discuss your circumstances.
