Holiday Club

Holiday Childcare Club (Coming Soon)

We’re currently developing our Holiday Childcare Club to support working families during school holidays, with the same calm, nurturing and values-led approach that runs through everything we do at Qalm Academy.

Status: Coming soon — you can register your interest now and we’ll contact you as soon as dates, sessions and booking details are confirmed.

Who it’s for

  • Working families who need reliable holiday childcare in a safe, structured environment
  • Children aged 7–16 (final age range and groups to be confirmed)
  • Families who value a faith-led, homely setting where children feel relaxed and supported

What the Holiday Club will include

Our Holiday Childcare Club is being designed to balance learning, enrichment and play — because not all learning happens at a desk. Sessions will be structured, screen-free, and designed to help children feel settled, engaged and confident.

  • Screen-free approach to support deeper focus and reduce digital overstimulation
  • Quiet study / homework time (where appropriate) with supportive guidance
  • Outdoor activities and nature-based learning opportunities (including forest school style activities where suitable)
  • Clubs and enrichment such as arts & crafts, STEM-style activities, reading and discussion sessions
  • Faith-led environment with clear values and respectful routines

A calm, homely environment

We keep group sizes small where possible and focus on creating a space where children feel comfortable, included and able to be themselves. A relaxed environment supports better engagement — and better outcomes — especially for children who may struggle in busier, noisier settings.

Faith, wellbeing and facilities

Qalm Academy is built on strong principles of faith and wellbeing. We also provide dedicated ablution and prayer facilities, supporting students to remain God-conscious while in our care.

Safeguarding, communication and parent updates

Children’s safety and wellbeing are always our priority. Parent/carer communication is part of our culture, and student engagement and progress are regularly discussed with parent/carers.

If you’d like to review our policies, we can provide our safeguarding and complaints policy on request (and these will also be published on the website).

Safeguarding, Policies and Peace of Mind

Children’s safety and wellbeing come first. We follow clear safeguarding procedures and maintain the relevant policies so families can feel confident in the care we provide. If you’d like copies of our safeguarding or complaints policies, please request them and we’ll share them with you. These can be found at the bottom of our page.

Funding and support

Many families can access support towards childcare costs through government funding routes (including Universal Credit and other eligible schemes). If you’re unsure what you may qualify for, take a look at our funding pages or contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Register your interest

We’re finalising the holiday programme and delivery details. If you’d like to be the first to hear when bookings open, please register your interest and we’ll contact you with the next steps.

Register interest via our contact form or call/message us and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
