After School Club (Weekdays 3–6pm)
Our After School Club supports working families with reliable, faith-led childcare in a calm, homely environment. We keep groups small so children feel relaxed, safe, and genuinely supported after a busy school day.
What the After School Club Includes
- Weekday childcare (3–6pm) in a comfortable, structured setting
- Homework support to help children stay on top of schoolwork
- Faith Club activities that encourage positive values and character
- Screen-free approach to reduce digital overstimulation and support deeper focus
- Regular updates for parents/carers so progress and engagement are always discussed
A Calm, Screen-Free Environment That Helps Children Settle
We take a holistic approach to learning and wellbeing. Our screen-free routine encourages children to unwind, reset, and focus through conversation, reading, hands-on activities, and guided support. This helps children feel more settled and ready to learn.
Subjects Covered in Our Afterschool Madressa
Our structured curriculum includes:
- Qaida – Building strong foundations in Arabic pronunciation
- Quran – Tajweed, fluency and recitation confidence
- Hifz – Quran memorisation with consistency and care
- Fiqh – Practical understanding of Islamic rulings
- Seerah – Learning from the life of the Prophet ﷺ
- Arabic Language – Reading, writing and comprehension
All lessons are delivered at an age-appropriate level, with progression tailored to each child.
Homework Support That Builds Confidence
Children can bring homework along and receive calm, supportive guidance. Where needed, we can reinforce key skills in English, maths, and science in a way that suits each child’s stage of development. Some children need shorter, varied activities to stay engaged, while others benefit from longer focused time — we adapt our approach to the child.
Faith-Led Care With Practical Facilities
Our setting is built on strong principles of faith, supporting children to remain God-conscious while in our care. We also provide dedicated ablution and prayer facilities, reflecting our commitment to creating an environment where children feel supported and respected.
Funding Support
Our After School Club may be eligible for childcare funding through recognised government support routes (such as those listed on our funding pages). If you’re unsure which option applies to your family, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.
Safeguarding, Policies and Peace of Mind
Children’s safety and wellbeing come first. We follow clear safeguarding procedures and maintain the relevant policies so families can feel confident in the care we provide. If you’d like copies of our safeguarding or complaints policies, please request them and we’ll share them with you. These can be found at the bottom of our page.
Funding and support
Many families can access support towards childcare costs through government funding routes (including Universal Credit and other eligible schemes). If you’re unsure what you may qualify for, take a look at our funding pages or contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.
